Justice Adonyo Holds Meeting at Soroti High Court Construction Site

The Soroti Resident Judge, Hon. Justice Dr Henry Peter Adonyo, on Wednesday February15, 2023 chaired an on-site meeting at the construction site of Soroti High Court to review progress.
The meeting also aimed at ensuring work is progressing according to plan, hear from stakeholders on issues arising that may need attention and track the project time.
The contractor, Santana Construction Company, reported that the project is currently at 40%and will soon be at 45% with casting the slab for the first floor, while the holding cell is at ring beam level.
The Soroti LC 5 Chairperson, Mr Edoru Simon Peter Ekuu, commended the contractor for the quality work being done.
He also reported that the district has allocated land for the construction of the Court of Appeal in Katine where the new district headquarters are to be located.
Hon. Justice Dr Adonyo thanked the Soroti District leadership for supporting the court and Judiciary as a whole.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Registrar, HW Jessica Chemeri, the Chief Magistrate, HW Margaret Aanyu, Magistrates; Nause Tumuhimbise and Nyapio Agnes.
The Soroti Resident District Commissioner; Mr Komakech Salim and his Deputy Mr Kasinzi Martin Basalirwa, Judiciary Principal Engineer, Ms Priscilla Nakiboneka and Mr Brian Asiimwe, the clerk of works was also in attendance.
